Take 5 minutes and read this and let me know your opinion.


I must say that i'm disappointed with the way that deviantart works...

First of all, when you read the title you have a sort of impression that you will find art here, but not to worry people have mistaken this site with facebook a lot... Sure you need one photo for the ID part, but how many do you really need?

Furthermore i don't like the fact that 12 year old kids give a lot of comments and favorite a lot of work just so they can have more pageviews than the other kid... I would be a hypocrite not to say that in the beginning i did the same thing, but only for about 2 months.
This thing doesn't upset me really, but what does is the fact that some really good artists with great photos such as: eukendei.deviantart.com/ or quiescent-reverie.deviantart.c… are very underrated.

Take eukendei.deviantart.com/ for example, his photos are very hard to obtain, and has limited time each day to take them (because of the sun). It might seem easy to take, but it's not and i would like you guys to try and take a long exposure photo to see if you get it right.

One more thing, don't you have it when you get a favorite and then you thank the other person, and they don't even give you a "your welcome". And on the other hand, good artists, always have a certain pleasure in talking to you about their work and used techniques...

I know there is not much anyone can do about this subject, but the least we can do is not to encourage this behavior any more and not to practice it ourselves...

My birthday was on the 8th nov. Together with some close friends, I went to my house in the country side and had a blast!
I received some very beautiful gifts, the photography related ones were a new lens and a camera bag.
The new lens is a sony 500mm f/8 reflex lens from my parents, it's a great lens! Light-weight, compact, fast, all though a little difficult to use if you were used to a 55 200mm lens up till now!
Also I got a new camera backpack from my girlfriend and another very good friend! It's pretty big and it has room for everything i got, even more i still have some space left!
